Briarcliff Manor Physical Education Teacher And Coach's Son Mourned After Fall at southern Vermont swimming hole


The death of Tyler Rosenberg who fell 100 feet at Vermont state park has touched three Westchester County communities. 


The young Mr. Rosenberg, 17, was entering his senior year at Irvington High School, where he played on the school baseball team and was a gifted student. He was the son of Craig Rosenberg, a well-liked physical education teacher and coach for the Briarcliff Manor schools.
The teen's mother, Ellen Rosenberg, works at the Early Childhood Center at Westchester Reform Temple in Scarsdale.

Mr. Rosenberg was fatally injured at Hamilton Falls State Park in Jamaica, Vermont.

The teenager was on the rocks at the park when he lost his footing.

Chris Drosopoulos, athletic director at the Briarcliff school district where Craig Rosenberg works, said in press reports that the teen's death had been devastating.
